A study on racism in 19 collage images


Different hair, skin, facial features, body shapes and sizes. Same blood, same bone. Yet, the former keeps humanity strife-ridden while the latter -- marked by foundational sameness -- keeps humans upright and alive. In 19 mixed-media collage images, Tamryn Spruill studies the triviality of outward differences on which racism hinges and contemplates the existential importance of our near-identical inner biological systems.
